Response to Ryan - The Persuaders
Clutter really is something that can be ignored. Finding ways to cut through that clutter is difficult because as soon as you get something that reaches people right now, next month it just becomes part of the normal, routine, and falls into the background once again. Radio is great example of how we tend to deal with clutter - ignoring the commercials and only listening to the music or talk show that we tune in to.

Frontline - The Persuaders
I believe narrowcasting is going to be the next big wave of advertising. As more and more people are connecting to the internet and we move deeper into the DVR/TiVo age, broadcast commercials are becoming less and less relevant. I know that narrowcast advertising does tend to work better on me. Narrowcasting on the internet would be like receiving Field&Stream or the Cabela's catalogue. Throw in the occasional Mac accessory list, maybe some cameras (still and video) and accessories and the avertisers have me cornered. I like all those things - that's what I spend my money on. Narrowcasting has the potential to drive new sales in every sector.
