I know that there have been a lot of changes recently with the LHC main web site down, the launching of lhcfishers.com, and the campus blog changing hands from blogger to wordpress. Let me quickly run through what is happening and what isn't.
1. Campus website: http://lhcfishers.com Here you'll find the latest information on what's happening at Fisher's Landing. I'll be checking this blog and working with pastor Seth to keep this site updated. We will also post new videos here as well so that you can receive a podcast feed if you wish.
2. Campus blogsite: http://fisherscampus.wordpress.com This is new official blog site for the Fisher's Landing campus. Here you'll find the latest thoughts of pastor Seth and sometimes Washington Man (Fisher's Tech Guy). The blog series 'Where in the Java' will appear here as well. You may also catch The Man Cave video blogs and promos to the right in our "vod:pod" section.
3. Men's ministry blog: http://themancave.wordpress.com Here you'll find all you ever wanted to know about the happenings of the Men's ministry of Living Hope Church; led by pastor Seth. Check the V-Blog page for a quick video intro to the purpose of The Man Cave. We may also bring you live streaming video as part of this blog. The streaming video may also be found on the campus web site under the title "We're LIVE."
4. Fisher's Tech Guy: http://fisherstechguy.wordpress.com For those that are interested, this is my personal blog page where you can find most of the videos I put together for the campus, thoughts on life as a college student, maybe some tech stuff every now and then. You can also find some of my photos that I take of different places within a reasonable drive of Vancouver.

More techy stuff...
Well, not exactly.
Though I was recently in a rather lengthy conversation recently about being a geek. Now don't get me wrong, I am one - to a degree. Technology fascinates me and I have to ask, is that such a crime?
What this is really leading up to is the fact that my blog page is changing... again... I know. Now that you've just started getting used to the whole "fisherstechguy.blogspot.com" thing it's going away... replaced by something better. I now post blogs through Wordpress. The layouts are just cooler and it's more flexible on some of the cool "geeky" stuff that these places offer.
I've set up multiple links over to my new blog page, and if you've missed them, well, do yourself a favor and click here.
Thanks, and I hope to see your comments on the other site!

Guys' Night Promo
Here's a little promo I've put together for the upcoming Guys' Night at LHC with Pastor Seth McRae. I'm still playing around with the Blue and Green Screen effects in Final Cut.
Recent Politics
While out on a recent Friday Morning, Seth and I encountered some supporters for one of our presidential hopefuls... And as captured on video, one was waving the wrong American flag... a historic American flag. We decided that a commentary may be of some use to help explain the thought process behind displaying this historic figure.
None of what you just watched is in fact serious. If we offended you, then you probably don't have a sense of humor. We are in no way discrediting this unnamed politician and we do love our country.

Final Cut & Java
That's right, I've purchased Final Cut, a professional video editing suite. Let me tell you, what used to take me five minutes to do in iMovie (edit video blogs) now take closer to two hours inside Final Cut. Now let me clarify, I'm not slamming Final Cut, I love it. There is so much to learn and so many more features to explore and use. I've needed to learn something new and be challenged in my editing. Honestly, it was getting a little too dry for me.
For those of you who know this page exists, I am posting the latest episode of "Where in the Java..." here a week early. I'll keep trying to do this so you can have an "unfair" advantage over the competition. No hints will be given here however, outside of the ones included in the video.
