Well, we survived the craziness of yesterday. For those of you who weren't there, the tech team and the set-up/tear-down team at Wy'East was at an all-time low. Luckily, for the 9 AM service our other sound guy, Scott, from NEMLU.com showed up. That allowed me to run the easyworship set for our worship. It ran decently well. We had some issues with switching to video at both the 9 and 11 services, but I will get this all figured out. I need a separate monitor so I know what is going to be running live when I switch the settings on the DVR unit. Oh, another thing is meeting the on the Saturday morning so that the worship leader, campus pastor, and tech team are all on the same page and we know what everything will (hopefully) look like.
Today I went and picked up an external DVD burner for my MacBook. I like having this so that I can burn video files directly from here without having to transfer files to my PC (which works sometimes) and hope that the files are readable by the stupid thing. Oh, and half the time the program I use to burn DVDs on my PC tells me that the project file is too large for the disks. This should really not be. A single layer DVD should hold about two hours of standard definition footage. The last file I tried to transfer was about 8.5 gigs at full quality and was about 45 minutes long - my PC hated it. With a passion. Now I've got the Noah video and two services from this past weekend burning onto one single-layer DVD. I'm happy.
Anyhow, not much going on in the world of the Wy'East Tech Guy other than that...
Until next time,
Look for the mini-moose!

Well, that sounds like a lot of stuff going on in your life to me...
I would hope that you already know that. I was blogging for the rest of the world... Thanks for the comment :) at least I know I have one reader!
And you had some pretty awesome Hawaiian Burgers. I don't know how they measured to your mother's, but i would guess pretty low. Anyways, just thought i'd finally post on your blog and mention the highlight of your weekend.
Thanks, Dude.
Yes, as awesome as those burgers were, my mom's Hawaiian burgers are amazing. I'm biased that way, you understand.
I have enjoyed reading your blogging and thought I should post a comment for you. Great job on the video's and best of luck on switching jobs.
How goes "Washington Man"? I am anxious for the debut.
Hey, I am a google talk user (for work mainly) and have a picture selected. How do I get my google talk picture to post when I comment...or is that a "wy'east tech guy" thing?
I am guessing it may be a Blogger function, but thought I would ask.
Yes, I am pretty sure you have to have a blogger site (as in a profile) to have your picture appear on your posts. I have tried before without success...
To get a pic next to your comments you have to set up a blogger profile. It's free and you sign in through Google.
