God is with us every step...

So, I'm sitting here at WSU-Vancouver waiting for my ecology lab later today and thinking just how blessed I am. I've survived through three years of college so far. I've gone through a hard, isolated relationship. Yet looking back, despite my lack of walking with God and living for Him, He was right there every step of the way. Every thing I've been through has tempered me to be the man of God that I am. I'll admit, I still have my downfalls, I make mistakes just like everyone and I need grace every waking moment. But despite all the challenges to God's power I encounter every day in my classes, I know that God is. It seems that we loose sight of this fact or maybe we just shut God out because we forget, like the Israelites in Egypt. But God told Moses when he was wondering why the people would listen to him, "God said to Moses, "I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' "" (Exodus 3:14).

I don't know what next week, next month or next year holds. I do know that God is here with me, and that if I only stop and listen to Him that I can remain in His blessing. We need to learn how to become desperate for Him and to listen to what he says.
